There has been a significant decline in timber prices, particularly for higher-grade assortments such as birch and pine logs. Some price reduction has also been seen in the spruce log market. The pulpwood market has experienced a similar downward trend. Prices for other deciduous logs and firewood remain stable for now.

Beyond the price decline, a major concern is that markets are already full of winter-harvested material, leaving little room for new deliveries. Prices and demand are certainly also influenced by global market conditions. Lastly, the seasonal factor plays a role: during spring, timber deteriorates quickly, and there is little interest in stockpiling large volumes.
