Summary of our investor field visit in Latvia
02.10.2026
On 24–25 September, Woodstem hosted an Investor Field Trip in Latvia, bringing together investors and partners for two days focused on forestry, timber production and practical forest asset management.
During the trip, we visited ZAZA TIMBER’s production facility, a tree nursery and several forest properties, where we discussed forest management, harvesting methods and different approaches to managing forest assets. These visits provided a practical view of how forestry decisions are made in the field and how different management approaches can influence the long-term development and value of forest properties.
The programme also included a visit to a local shooting range, giving participants an opportunity to spend time together outside the more formal part of the event.
For us, these field trips are also about personal contact. Meeting in person, having open discussions and seeing the forests together helps build stronger long-term relationships with our investors and partners. It also gives participants a much better understanding of how we manage properties in practice and how decisions are made on the ground.
A special thank you to Rīgas meži, ZAZA TIMBER, Latvian State Forest Research Institute “Silava”, the local shooting range, and of course all participants who joined us and contributed to the event.
We look forward to welcoming investors and partners again at our future Investor Field Trips.
